The returning officer, Sylvie Dubuc, hereby notifies the population that a by-election is scheduled for the position of councillor at seat no.3.

Advanced polling will take place on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The by-election will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Polling station location: Hemmingford Recreation Centre, 550 ave Goyette, Hemmingford, QC  J0L 1H0

Information for voters

  • Advanced polling day
    Sunday, May 26, 2024, between 12:00 noon and 8:00 p.m.
  • Election day
    Sunday, June 2, 2024, between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

 

To vote, you must:

  1. Be entered on the list of electors
  2. Be at least 18 years of age on election day
  3. Be a Canadian citizen
  4. Live in the municipality
  5. Have lived in Québec for at least six months
  6. Not have lost your election rights

If you do not live in the municipality, but are an owner of co-owner of a building, or are a co-occupant of a business establishment, you may have the right to vote.

The following position is open for applications:
Councilor Seat #3.

Nomination papers must be filed at the office of the Returning Officer, 505 Frontier Street, Suite 3, during the following days and times:

From April 19 to May 3, 2024
Schedule:
Mondays and Wednesdays – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Friday, May 3 – 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
Please note: Friday, May 3 2024, the office will be open continuously from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
